You will also pay $120.00 for the first year of storage. Thereafter, you will be notified by StemSave when the recurring annual fee of $120.00 is due to cover the cost of service and storage beginning after the first year. StemSave has other payment options available, including a 25 % discounted 20-year storage plan. Discounted fees are offered when paying for multiple years of storage at the time of enrollment. You may also elect at any time after enrollment to convert your storage plan to this option and it will be applied to the next renewal period.

Anyone can open an account to be used for dental stem cell cryopreservation for another individual. For example, a grandparent, aunt, uncle or friend may wish to open an account for someone else as a gift. Simply enroll at www.stemsave.com or contact StemSave at 1-877-StemSave to establish a Give a Gift account. A gift coupon will be generated and sent to the recipient (or the gift account holder if the intended recipient is a minor child), after which the gift recipient or gift account holder must enroll as a new member to apply the gift certificate as a form of payment and activate the account.

Your dental stem cells will be stored for life, as long as you remain current with annual service and storage fees on account.

Cord blood stem cells and dental stem cells differ in a number of important ways. For example, dental stem cells are derived from neural crest cells, and may have strong potential for neural differentiation. There is no compelling reason why dental stem cells should not be banked in addition to cord blood cells.

Diseases of different severity or tissue defects of different size will undoubtedly require different amounts of stem cells to heal. Conceptually, the more teeth are banked, the greater the potential for sufficient stem cells to treat various diseases.
